Director and founder Mathias Blume, a skilled carpenter from Germany, embodies a vision rooted in tradition. Seamlessly blending exquisite design, exceptional performance, and unparalleled craftsmanship.

About Mathias Blume.

Mathias is a builder and carpenter with over 20 years of experience, which he gained in Australia and his native Germany. Across both residential and commercial building industries. He acquired his carpentry skills in Germany and moved from Berlin to Australia in 2010. 


As a Certified Passive House Builder, Mathias is passionate about efficiency and performance. He holds a diploma in interior design and loves open-plan living. An avid surfer, he enjoys spending time with his two kids.

Mathias has been a licensed NSW builder since 2016 and is accredited as an HIA GreenSmart builder.

Process 

We believe that the key to a successful building project lies in collaboration from the very beginning. That’s why we offer a comprehensive Pre-Construction Consultation process.
During this phase, we partner with you and your designer to ensure the best possible outcome for your budget. We provide essential insights on costs, materials, and construction methods, allowing for informed decision-making. Early involvement minimizes the risk of unexpected expenses and delays, giving you peace of mind as your project unfolds. You’ll have a trusted advisor by your side, dedicated to navigating the complexities of building, ensuring that every decision aligns with your goals and results in a home tailored to your needs.

G-Day :

Your journey begins with a warm welcome! Simply fill out our online project inquiry form with your contact information and basic project details. We’ll then reach out to schedule a meeting, typically lasting 45 minutes to an hour. This meeting can occur on-site (for renovation or extension projects), via video or phone, or at a local café on Blackbutt Rd. During this initial conversation, we’ll get to know each other, discuss your estimated project budget and goals, and explore any initial ideas or questions you may have. We’ll also share examples of our previous work and provide an overview of what’s included in our Pre-Construction Consultation Process.

Collaborative Design - Exploring Your Vision

At this stage, our approach is customized to the specific progress of your project. We believe in engaging early—ideally during the concept stage—and collaborating closely with you and your chosen designer to offer valuable insights on buildability, performance, and cost. If you haven't yet selected a designer, that's perfectly fine! We can provide you with a list of recommended designers who align well with your project goals.

Detailed Costing and planning

Once your design and budget are in sync, we transition to the Deep Dive stage. During this phase, we create a detailed build proposal that specifies all inclusions and exclusions. We work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to discuss construction specifics and secure accurate trade pricing, ensuring you receive a comprehensive proposal. Our aim is to provide you with a clear understanding of costs and timelines, establishing a strong foundation for the next steps in your project.

Contract

We prepare a contract outlining all the agreed-upon details, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the process. We will review the contract together, addressing any questions or concerns you may have before both parties sign. This stage guarantees that everything is in place and that you feel confident moving forward.

Bringing Your Vision to Life

We have now arrived at the Let's Build stage. Our experienced team will commence construction on your custom home, keeping you informed every step of the way. We provide regular updates on progress and promptly address any issues that arise, ensuring the project stays on track. Our aim is to create a seamless and enjoyable experience, from our initial hello to the moment you step into your finished home.
