m2haus was established in 2016, by director Mathias Blume. m2haus are passionate about passive house principles and the importance of innovation within the Australian building industry. As time goes on, we are becoming more aware and concerned for the health of our environment and of our families. One way to positively impact our community and our lives is to build healthier homes that last.

Managed 14 house and renovation projects
Managed projects up to 700k
Employed 16 people in the last 7 years
Have taught carpentry and building to 5 young apprentice carpenters.

About Mathias.

Mathias is a builder and carpenter with over 18 years of experience, gained both here in Australia and in his native Germany, across both residential and commercial building industries. He acquired his carpentry skills in Germany and moved from Berlin to Australia in 2010 as a skilled migrant with the aim of servicing the vibrant Australian building scene, and introducing his European carpentry skills to a new market. He is passionate about building healthy homes that perform to their full capacity, beyond simply providing shelter.

Mathias has been a licensed NSW builder since 2016, and is accredited as an HIA green smart builder.

How We Work - The PAC Process.

The Paid As A Consultant (PAC) process is a professional service m2haus provides its clients to act as a building consultant alongside the design team during the pre-construction phase.

It is a separate, value-added service that will prepare you for signing a building contract service and covers some of the costs associated with getting you ready to sign a building contract and for construction to begin. Our number one priority during this process is to make sure we deliver the absolute best project possible for your budget.

There are three main focus areas during this PAC phase:

We work with you and your designer to ensure your dream design can be delivered within your budget

‘Buildability’ – we ensure that whatever is designed can be built to code/ industry standards

Cost Analysis – we provide breakdowns of cost in certain areas to allow you to make educated decisions about inclusions and exclusions to your home.

We collaborate closely with your chosen designer and architect to provide you with all the required documentation and drawings necessary to take your home from concept to build. With all the documents in place, your chosen builder can formulate and present a detailed scope of work, construction timeline and cost analysis.

The process includes a number of services, including existing property inspections, design consultations, and project proposal.

Our aim is to provide a personalised, transparent, service that will give you the confidence and certainty to take your project from concept to completion with exceptional building standards, on time and within budgets.
